Jazz Play Records commenced operations in 2006 as an Independent producer of Original Australian Jazz.

Stephen Ryan-Gledhill – Managing Director
After more than 30 years in the Finance Industry, the last 8 years spent as Head of Sales and Marketing based in Hong Kong for AXA, Chase Manhattan and Bank of America, Steve returned to his first love, Music.
Steve returned to Australia in mid 2002 to study Jazz Guitar full-time. Firstly at Victorian College of the Arts for 1 year and then completing a two year Advanced Diploma in Music Performance at NMIT Fairfield.
Steve plays in Dead Cats Bounce who have appeared at Federation Square, Dallas Brooks Hall, Chapel off Chapel, Manchester Lane, Melbourne Cup and Derby Day in the Birdcage as well as other Corporate and private functions around Melbourne and, for a year, were resident at Scarlette Bar in Smith St, Fitzroy. Steve is a lyricist, composer and producer and is now turning his combination of Music Knowledge, Finance and Sales and Marketing as Managing Director of Australia’s latest Independent Jazz label; Jazz Play Records.
The first two CDs are slated for release in December 2006 and feature The Peter Petrucci Quartet “Nowhere to be Found” and The Jack Pantazis Quartet “What?” |
